We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Technicians for a long-term baseload project in Qatar.

Minimum Qualifications :
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations

High School / Secondary (12th Grade), or 10th Grade plus Vocational qualification, with minimum 4 years of relevant maintenance experience; OR
2-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant maintenance experience; OR
3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience; OR
College Degree in a relevant field with minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance experience.
Fluent in English – speaking, reading, and writing.

Job Responsibilities :

Read drawings and instructions for installation, removal, and overhaul of rotating equipment or parts.
Set, align, install, and remove rotating equipment or components.
Troubleshoot and analyze equipment problems and identify required spare parts.
Overhaul and repair rotating equipment including compressors, blowers, pumps, fans, mixers, and mechanical seals.
Perform day-to-day plant maintenance work independently.
Perform mechanical preventive maintenance according to established procedures and record all results.
Carry out maintenance work on static equipment, valves, pipelines, exchangers, vessels, and columns.
Understand materials commonly used in chemical services, including pipes, valves, gaskets, and fittings.
Read drawings and instructions for piping layout and installation.
Operate workshop mechanical equipment such as grinding machines and power saws.
Comply with plant safety standards and maintenance procedures.
Ability to operate a forklift according to Q-Chem regulations is preferred.
Assist and participate in other maintenance activities as required.
